Socialisation isn’t just about meeting other dogs; it’s about neutrality. We help your puppy build confidence in new environments, learn how to settle around others, and navigate the world calmly.
More than six puppy classes
Puppy Foundations is more than the 45 minutes you spend with us each week. From your own Partnership Puppy Hub to weekly surprises and ongoing support, we’ve designed the whole experience to help training become part of everyday life.
Partnership Puppy Hub
A private Partnership Puppy space that grows with your course – fresh training content, weekly challenges, group chat and direct access to your trainers, all tied to what you’re working on right now.
A little something every week
Instead of one generic welcome pack, you’ll receive a themed gift each week, chosen to support that session and help make good training easier to continue at home.
Small enough to know your puppy
With a maximum of six puppies, we can actually get to know you, your puppy and what you’re working on — rather than just delivering the same lesson to a room full of dogs.

Puppyhood is rewarding, but we know it can also be exhausting and overwhelming. At Derby House Dogs, we provide a supportive, judgement-free environment for you to learn alongside your pup.
Led by our Easy Peasy Puppy Squeezy Instructors our methods are force-free and science-based. We don’t believe in ‘quick fixes’ or harsh corrections; we believe in empowering you with the skills to build a partnership based on trust, communication, and joy.
Frequently Asked Questions
This course is designed for puppies aged 8 to 20 weeks at the start of the term.
We recommend that puppies are suitably vaccinated before starting the course. Speak to your vet for personalised information.
Please bring a standard flat lead (no extendable leads), a well-fitted collar or harness, and a mat for your pup to settle on (if you’re lucky!).
We train outdoors in our enclosed, purpose-built field in Wrightington. This helps puppies learn to focus in a “real-world” environment from day one.
We train in most conditions (it’s great for proofing behaviours!), but we will notify you if extreme weather requires a session to be rescheduled.
